Henry R. Kravis, Co-Chairman
Mr. Kravis serves as Co-Chairman of KKR Guernsey GP Limited, the General Partner of KKR Private Equity Investors, L.P. Mr. Kravis founded Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. ("KKR") in 1976 with Mr. Roberts, whose biography appears below. Currently, Mr. Kravis participates in all of the investment activities of KKR's business and serves on its Investment and Portfolio Management Committees. Prior to co-founding KKR, Mr. Kravis was a partner in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear Stearns & Company, where he pioneered the use of leverage in acquisitions. He earned a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and an M.B.A. from The Graduate School of Business at Columbia University.


George R. Roberts, Co-Chairman
Mr. Roberts serves as Co-Chairman of KKR Guernsey GP Limited, the General Partner of KKR Private Equity Investors, L.P. Mr. Roberts founded KKR in 1976 with Mr. Kravis whose biography appears above. Currently, Mr. Roberts participates in all of the investment activities of KKR's business and serves on its Investment and Portfolio Management Committees. He is a member of the board of directors of U.S. Natural Resources, Inc. and Accel-KKR Company. Prior to co-founding KKR, Mr. Roberts was in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear Stearns & Company, where he became a partner at 29 and where he pioneered the use of leverage in acquisitions. He earned a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College, and a J.D. from the University of California (Hastings) Law School.


Christopher M.W. Hill, Independent Director
Mr. Hill is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and was Managing Director of Guernsey International Fund Managers Limited, or ‘‘GIFM,’’ part of the Barings Financial Services Group, from 1996 until the Group was sold to Northern Trust in 2005. During this period, he was also a director of GIFM’s subsidiaries in Dublin and Jersey. In his 16 years with GIFM, the company administered funds with a wide range of investment strategies. In all, he has over 30 years’ experience in the field of offshore banking and fund administration. He presently serves as a non-executive director of a number of financial institutions and investment funds. Several of the investment funds maintain listings of their shares on the stock exchanges of London, Ireland, Netherlands or the Channel Islands. Mr. Hill is also a past Chairman of the Guernsey Investment Funds Association and a resident of Guernsey.


Remmert J. Laan, Independent Director
Mr. Laan is Vice Chairman of Leonardo & Co.  Prior to Leonardo & Co., he was affiliated with Lazard Freres since 1979, where he spent most of his professional career as a general partner specializing in international corporate finance and cross border mergers and acquisitions. He has served as chairman of the board of Lazard’s Benelux subsidiary in Amsterdam and as a senior advisor to the Lazard Group since 2002. Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Laan was a general management consultant at Cresap, McCormick and Paget, Mr. Laan also previously served as the head of corporate development at Renault. He earned a law degree from Leyden University and an M.B.A. from INSEAD, Fontainebleau France. He is currently a member of the board of directors of Patrinvest and a member of the supervisory boards of KLM and Hagemeyer. He is a trustee of the Insead Foundation and a member of the advisory board of GLG Partners.  He has also served as a member of the boards of InBev, Vedior, OPG (Gehe) and Alcatel.


Dieter Rampl, Independent Director
Mr. Rampl is Chairman of UniCredit Group since January 2006. Mr. Rampl started his career in 1968 at Bayerische Vereinsbank (Munich). From 1969 to 1970 he was at Société de Banque Suisse (Geneva) before he rejoined Bayerische Vereinsbank in 1974, where he ran the Corporate Lending and Credit Department in New York until 1980. In 1983 he joined BHF-Bank Frankfurt. From 1984 to 1987 he was General Manager of BHF North America, New York, and in 1993 he led the acquisition of the Investment Bank Charterhouse (London). Back in Bayerische Vereinsbank (Munich) in 1995, he was a Member of the Board for the Corporate Business and Corporate Finance until January 2003 when he was appointed as Spokesman of the Board of Managing Directors. He is also Vice Chairman of Mediobanca S.p.A. (Milan), Member of the Board of Directors of A.B.I. (Italian Banking Association, Rome), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Koenig & Bauer AG (Würzburg), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bayerische Börse AG (Munich), and Member of the Supervisory Board of FC Bayern München AG (Munich).
